According to one event organizer, Mary McKenzie, the Market...
Visitors in the area of 761 Hays Road may have observed a new structure being erected behind St. Paul Mission Grade School. Anyone guessing it’s a greenhouse would only be slightly wrong since it’s a high tunnel, also known as a hoop house. While often confused for a traditional greenhouse, high tunnels are actually a relatively new development in the world of protected farming and gardening. Unlike their larger, more permanent cousins, high tunnels are designed to be lighter, more mobile, more flexible, and more versatile. Because it does not...

House Bill 15 which provides an inflationary increase in school funding was signed into law in February and is...

Betty was a beloved teacher at the Eastside Middle School (grades 4-8) located between the courthouse and the high school, now...

As the weather warms, people fire up their barbecues, grab their tongs, and reach for mouth-watering steaks and other beef cuts for the grill as they begin another season of creating memories with family and friends. By keeping such rituals alive, local consumers are supporting the cattle growers of North Central Montana. Perhaps those reasons explain why May was named National Beef Month. To celebrate, beef is this month's featured Harvest of the Month (HOM) for K-12 schools, afterschool progra...
