    The Chinook Sugarbeeters were in Choteau this past Friday to face the Bulldogs in a Northern C Eight-man football seeded playoff game. For the first time this season the 'Beeters were out gunned from the get go as Choteau ran all over them in a 58-6 setback.     The Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbirds have played hard this season but unfortunately they hadn’t been able to find the win column. That all changed this past weekend when the Thunderbirds headed to cascade to take on the Badgers. The Thunderbirds jumped out to an early lead and then maintained their composure down the stretch to hold on for a 46-26 win over the Cascade Badgers.     The Harlem Wildcat Cross Country team hosted their own Invitational this past Friday as the area teams completed their regular season schedule. Next up for the Wildcats and the Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbirds is a trip to Missoula where they will compete in the Montana Class C and Class B Girls and Boys State Cross County Meet.     The Chinook Sugarbeeters locked up another District 6C-East Conference Championship this past weekend following sweeps of the number two and three seeds. On Thursday the Sugarbeeters made the trip west to Gildford to take on the North Star Knights in a battle of the Districts two top teams.     The Chinook Sugarbeeters turned in a valiant effort this past Saturday against the No. 4 ranked and undefeated Great Falls Central Mustangs. The Chinook defense forced five turnovers but in the end it was two of their own that led to two Mustang scores late in a 46-21 loss.     The Chinook Men's League concluded its 2018 season last Wednesday with Finley's Food Farm claiming the championship defeating New Concept Lawn Care in the 18 hole finale. The Chinook Men's League included fifteen teams from Havre, Chinook and Harlem, with nearly 100 players playing on one of the teams or as a substitute.
