The Harlem Lady Cats are coming off a wild season in which they experienced the highest of highs and some lows along the way. Their season ended at the Class B State Tournament in a showing that surprised a lot of people. Chinook Head Football Coach Mike Jones has barely had any time to catch his breath following the conclusion of the 2021-22 school year. Jones had the honor of being selected to be a coach for the Red Team at the Bob Cleverly Eight-man All-Star Game in Butte on Saturday, June 4. The Chinook golf course sure looks good after the recent rainfall. The greens and fairways have come along making the course look as spectacular as ever. Course Superintendent Mike Seymour and his crew recently aerated the greens in a further effort to improve the course and soon they will be rolling like one would expect them to. The Chinook Lions and Harlem Swim teams were back in the pool this past weekend, this time with a full week of practice under their belt. After beginning the season in Harlem the week before with just three days to prepare both teams were able to get into their normal rhythm heading into the weekend. The 'Trailer' as it is referred to is where all the results are processed, saved and eventually uploaded to the Montana Federation of Swimmers Headquarters. There are two divisions in the Montana Federation of Swimmers organization, East and West. Each has its own trailer that is maintained and staffed by each meets host. The Montana Federation of Swimmer summer season kicked off this past Saturday and Sunday as Harlem hosted the first meet on the schedule. The 38th Annual Bob Cleverly Eight-man All-Star game was played this past Saturday on the campus of Montana Tech University in Butte, Montana. The 2022 Bear Paw Marathon took place this past Saturday and a number of Blaine County Runners took to the course. Five competed in the full marathon, just two runners completed the half marathon and 13 women and six men ran the 5K. Ages ranged from 5-62 and represented Chinook, Harlem, Hays and Zurich. Harlem senior, Amari Stanley, became the latest Wildcat to sign a National Letter of Intent to continue their athletic career at the next level.
