    At the January City Council meeting, it was reported that letters were sent regarding the recent notice of a Standard Maximum Contaminant level (MCL) violation. The violation occurred this past quarter on 11 December 2025. Chinook City residents who are drinking Chinook City-treated water should have received a notice dated 12 January 2026.     Marlene M. Molyneaux, 70 of Havre, MT, passed away peacefully at Northern Montana Hospital on Tuesday January 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Marlene (Mary Marlene) was born on September 7, 1955 in Havre, MT, to Wayne and Lila Molyneaux. She was a devoted Mom, Gramma, and Great-Gramma. During her younger years she lived in several places all over the state and recently even bragged about a short stint in Oregon.
