    In a year like no other, it was even more important to organizers of the Chinook Community Thanksgiving Dinner for the event to continue. "We really didn't want to let it go.     The Re-Imagining Rural gathering that occurred in September and October 2020 on a virtual platform was reported a success. As an incentive to capitalize on what they learned during these sessions, representatives from community foundations and other public entities were invited to submit grant applications for funding. Two local entities receiving grants are MSU Blaine County Extension and Fort Belknap Community Economic Development Corporation.     A 41 year old female and her dog were struck and killed by a Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) freight train near Lodge Pole Creek, just east of Chinook. A press release by the Blaine County Sheriff’s Department states that at 4:48 the afternoon of Saturday, November 14 that they had received a call from BNSF of a train vs. pedestrian accident.
