A busy week of Summer baseball is in the books for the Havre Northstars American Legion baseball club. Last Tuesday, the Northstars traveled to Vauxhall for a Northern A District doubleheader. Havre split with the Spurs, losing the first game 18-11 in a wild affair. Since May 20, Chinook shoppers may have noticed an eagle "flying" around town. Although the stuffed eagle doesn't have a name, the bird will land in various businesses over the next two months as a way to generate interest in the Blaine County Wildlife Museum. From May 26 through June 11, the gymnasium at Turner Public School has been closed. This closure is due to a floor refinishing project, which is being funded in part by the Big Flat Community Grain Bin. The project contractor, James Buck from Buck's Flooring, is based in Alberton, Montana.
