    A chance comment by a customer to a local merchant eventually resulted in a patented product now being used at Sweet Nursing Home in Chinook. Kelcey Diemert, a local pharmacist, said, "About 17 years ago Russell Benson came into the pharmacy and said, "I was just visiting some of my buddies at the nursing home.     Voters headed to the polls on Thursday, May 25 to fill the congressional vacancy left by President Trumps appointment of former Congressmen Ryan Zinke as Secretary of the Interior. The Special Election included three names on the ballot: Republican, Greg Gianforte, Democrat Rob Quist and Libertarian Mark Wicks. Gianforte won the election with 50% of the vote (189,473), while Quist was second with 44% (166,483) and Wicks third with 6% (21,509).     Now in its seventh summer Loaves and Fishes, the ecumenical summer feeding program in Chinook, has taken on a fairly defined way of operating.     A number of locals, including the son of famed Hays-based artist Clarence Cuts The Rope, have asked Wells Fargo executives to donate a large painting, done by Cuts The Rope, to be hung in the new Hays community center when it is completed.
