The Chinook Sugarbeeter, Harlem Wildcat and Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbird Cross Country teams were in Havre this past Saturday. All three area schools had plenty of athletes run. Chinook led the way with 14 runners, nine boys and five girls. The Wildcats had 12 runners with 11 boys including seven freshmen and one girl in the field. The Harlem Wildcats made the most of their scheduled bye week by taking the opportunity to turn the week into a Homecoming with The Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbirds. The Thunderbirds are playing a JV schedule this year and hosted the Harlem JV Monday afternoon in their Homecoming game.
