Loretta Beck was a guest at Shawn and Bobbi Beck’s home on Saturday evening along with other friends and family to help Ty celebrate his 14th birthday. On June 11, the Harlem Airmen Memorial Committee was awarded with a medal and certificate from the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) for Excellence in Historic Preservation. Cheryl Upshaw Barber succumbed to cancer in late 2021. Cheryl was a long time active member of the Chinook Presbyterian Church and known for her regular calls to folks wishing them to "Have a nice day." Cheryl's family asked if some of the memorials given to the church in her honor could be used to plant pink flowers at the church in her honor. The PAWS Animal Shelter in Chinook is set to host its second ever adoption event on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at North 40 in Havre, MT. The theme for this event is 'Adopt Your Next Adventure' and looks to build upon the success of the first event.
